Jesse Murphy

I am an actor and singer based in Portland, ME. I am a senior Theatre Major with a concentration in Performance at the University of Southern Maine. I am extremely passionate about Musical Theatre, and bringing complex, stylized characters to life, both physically and emotionally. I focus on living in the moment on stage, to fully realize the worlds I’m trying to create. I thrive in fast-paced, lively environments and enjoy figuring things out on the fly. I thoroughly enjoy discovering a character’s voice, physicality, and preferences. My passion for playing loud, larger than life characters is rivalled only by my love of intricate, internally complex characters. I enjoy making both shine on stage.
